There's nothing quite like spending a night under the stars. Here in Shenandoah, there are two kinds of camping: campground camping and backcountry camping.

Shenandoah National Park Camping. Shenandoah's four main campgrounds are operated by the National Park Service and are open spring through fall and feature spacious tent, trailer and RV sites.
Shenandoah National Park is just the place to go too, thanks in large part to four well-spaced family campgrounds along Skyline Drive. All four campgrounds operate from spring to fall. Some spots can book up to six months in advance.
The five campgrounds within the national park provide plenty of options for everything from RV camping to secluded car camping, while over 500 miles of hiking trails provide endless opportunities for the adventurous to enjoy backcountry camping in Shenandoah.
