Nov 23, 2022 · Because the 2800 used a one paddle per port setup rather than two sharing the same port like the 2600, it needed 4 controller ports. They’re standard 9-pin Atari ports - well, apart from these clips which are presumably to stop the controllers being pulled out - and they’re positioned in a much more sensible location on the front.
