In general rounds of invitations, we invite top-ranking candidates in the pool who are eligible for 1 of the 3 programs managed through Express Entry.
In program-specific rounds of invitations, we invite top-ranking candidates who are eligible for a specific Express Entry program. For example, if we’re holding a round specifically for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), we would only invite candidates who are eligible for the PNP.

Apr 9, 2024 · The Express Entry candidate pool now has a total of 211,944 profiles, showing a slight increase of roughly 700 profiles from the total number at the end of February. Score distributions have been maintained at roughly the same volume, with slight changes based on how many candidates entered within a specific score range.
In 2021, 443,004 EE profiles were submitted through the system, which represents an increase of 23% from 2020 and 33% from 2019 (Figure 1). The proportion of the profiles submitted in 2021 that were eligible for at least one of the federal immigration programs managed by EE (74%) was unchanged from that observed in 2020.

Feb 28, 2024 · As of February 27th, 2024 (the latest data available), there were 211,487 candidates in the pool, with the largest section of them having CRS scores between 451-500. Despite this, more than 65% of candidates were below this score grouping, indicating that the Express Entry pool shows a wide range of CRS scores and candidates.

May 14, 2024 · The Express Entry pool. As of April 23rd, 2024, there are 214,697 candidate profiles within the Express Entry pool—marking an increase of 2753 profiles from March. Increases were seen across all score brackets at a roughly even rate, maintaining distributions at approximately the same volume as the previous month.
