Peterborough recorded the highest unemployment rate in Canada in December (9.5%), followed by Saint John, New Brunswick (8.3%). Guelph recorded the lowest unemployment rate in Ontario in December (3.9%), while Quebec City recorded the lowest unemployment rate in Canada (2.6%).
