The AP Human Geography Exam has question types and point values that will remain stable from year to year, so you and your students know what to expect on exam day. Section I: Multiple Choice. 60 Questions | 1 Hour | 50% of Exam Score. Individual questions. Set-based questions.
The free-response part of the AP Human Geography test has three questions, each of which tests at least two units. It requires you to make connections between different subject areas and to analyze and evaluate geographical ideas.
- Thinking Geographically. You’ll learn about the tools and methods geographers use in their study of places. Topics may include: Different types of maps and what they tell you.
- Population and Migration Patterns and Processes. You’ll explore the patterns associated with human populations. Topics may include: Population density and how it affects society and the environment.
