The love of God is exemplified on the cross of Calvary. From John 15:13, we are made to understand that there is no greater love. This type of love is sacrificial and everlasting. God loves us irrespective of our race, gender, social status, age, past etc.

God loves everyone equally because He didn’t send His only begotten son to die for a particular set of people but He sent Him to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16-17). Hard times can make us feel like God doesn’t love us but He does. He loves all of us so dearly and nothing can separate us from His love as seen in Romans 8:35-39. Live in the...

    1. Story of Paul

Paul, whose name was Saul, got converted on his way to Damascus in Acts 9:1-22. In this scripture, we see how he had an encounter with God when a light shone around him from Heaven. The light from Heaven made him blind but after God used Ananias to heal his sight, the scales from his eyes were removed and he got baptised. From verse 20, he went about preaching in the Synagogues that Christ is the Son of God. The people were amazed as they began to doubt his intention. Paul persecuted people w...

    2. Story of The Adulterous Woman

In John 8:1-12, we can see how the Scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus and set her in their midst. They expected Jesus to condemn her and punish her greatly but rather He responded to them in love. Jesus’ response to them in verse 7 was “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” After the accusers left Jesus with her alone. This was their conversation below: He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemne...

    3. Story of the Prodigal Son

The parable of the prodigal son is another example of God’s love as is shown in Luke 15:11-32. In this story, there were two brothers whose father was very wealthy. The younger brother demanded his share of the property and ran away to squander the money with his licentious living. After a few years, he came back home to be one of his father’s servants and instead of his father rejecting him, he gave him a very warm welcome. In verse 20, we can see how his father ran to him after he sighted h...

    1. It is sacrificial

The love God has for us is sacrificial and this is why Jesus Christ said He is the good shepherd because He gives His life for His sheep. This statement is seen in the life of Jesus because He died for Us. He gave up His life for His sheep (us). Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends (John 15:13).

    2. It is everlasting

The love of God is not going anywhere. The love of God is endless and it will always be there. From Romans 8:35-39, we are told that nothing can separate us from God’s love. The love of God is something that comes and disappears the next minute.

    3. It is Unconditional

The love God has for us is not based on anything we have done or will do. There is no requirement for God to love us. God chooses to show His love for us even when we are not deserving of it. It is not that we loved Him but He loved us first (1 John 4:19). We were still sinners when Christ died for us (Romans 5:7-8).

God loves me and desires the best for me.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
God still loves me regardless of my past.
I bask in the love of God every day of my life.

God shows His love through various means which are by answering our prayers, meeting our individual needs, supplying us with strength, forgiving our sins etc. I hope you are now knowledgeable on different ways God shows His love for us?
