Nov 9, 2021 · The Canadian video game industry has grown 23 percent since 2019 to contribute $5.5 billion to Canada’s GDP, according to a new biennial report from The Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESA Canada).
Economic Impact. The video game industry in Canada spent an estimated $3.7 billion in 2021, an increase of 17% in the last two years. As with previous years, more than two-thirds (68%) of this total relates to spending on labour, accounting for approximately $2.5 billion in direct labour income.
