Apr 30, 2022 · Hi guys! I wonder how to improve UE5.0.1 FPS? Now we have a final version of the engine and FPS is almost the same to preview versions, which means low: I already tried several things, for example: Shadow method is set to: Shadow maps Smooth Frame rate has been raised from a max (60) to a max of 200, Now I get 65FPS on my “gaming” PC, with a default UE5 map, no edits (engine minimized ...
Jun 13, 2022 · I’ve been following a UE5 tutorial from GameDevTV, but I’ve noticed in the past few days that the FPS I’m getting from this game has been either bad or just ok, which I found to be weird since I use a laptop with a 3070 mobile GPU. This is the version of the game before I began to make optimizations. I started by removing Nanite and Lumen, turning off anti-aliasing and Temporal Super ...
Sep 7, 2022 · I need to get a few more FPS while playing in PIE window. When I play in the viewport everything is fine. I get 70-90 FPS and the game runs smoothly. But in PIE window I only get between 20-40 FPS and the game has some lag. I know that my graphics card is not the best on the market, but I think it can give me a few more FPS because while gaming it only uses about 20%. (in cinematic mode). And ...
Mar 26, 2014 · My current PC is an i7 4770k (really good), NVIDIA GT 640 (average-low), 1080p monitor (very good), and I can get a 30+ FPS experience for the most part if I make the viewport a little smaller. If I upgrade to a GTX 970, I’m sure most of the issues with framerate will fall to the wayside.
Jun 8, 2017 · Hello, i am creating a video for my final exam and this will not be in real-time. I will render it with matinee sequencer in ue4. Since i added much foliage to my terrain my fps are at ~ 20 fps. It is very hard to work and to create camera sequences with that low fps. I am using lod´s for all of my foliage.
Feb 11, 2020 · I have a serious performance problem I have some static meshes in a blueprint and they are attached as Hierarchical Static Mesh and even with a short disposal distance, even the meshes with the options: “remove degenerate activated” and with 8 LODs does not help, just some small static meshes and 1 point of light with 1600 radius are enough to easily drop the SPF from 60 to 30 and 20.
Aug 16, 2023 · !!!UPDATED MEGA THREAD!!! This post has been updated to include every major performance test against LODs posted through the current 142 post included here. There is no need for mindless scrolling over opinions and arguments for the facts. Note, these tests get progressively more complex and compelling regarding the faster performance without Nanite. To Epic Games: FIX this LIE contained in ...
Dec 12, 2021 · I have been playing around with the Smooth Frame Rate FPS ranges and I can’t seem to get my FPS above 60fps no matter what I try. I’ve tried flipping off Lumen, using Ray Tracing, etc, trying a fixed frame rate. I am not using a laptop so I don’t think power saving settings are in effect. Anyone else having this issue? Details: UE5 Update 2 i7 -10700K at default 3.8GHz clock 16GBs of RAM ...
May 27, 2021 · Converting a simple project of mine to UE5 (it only had some static meshes in the project), and enabled Nanite to see if I would get a performance gain. But to my surprise I actually lost A LOT of FPS, I went from 60FPS to 14 FPS, I tweaked the Nanite Precision a little bit but it didn’t do much. Don’t know if this is a bug or that i’m doing something wrong, anyway my meshes (walls ...
