"La Vie en Rose" uses a nonsensically jumbled structure to tell the life story of Edith Piaf, a woman whose life had perhaps enough tragedy for two movies but barely makes sense in this version.
La Vie en Rose (literally Life in pink, French pronunciation: [la vi ɑ̃ ʁoz]; [note 1] French: La Môme) [note 2][7] is a 2007 biographical musical film about the life of French singer Édith Piaf, co-written and directed by Olivier Dahan, and starring Marion Cotillard as Piaf. The UK and US title La Vie en Rose comes from Piaf's signature song.
Answer 1 of 14: We saw it last night, but before that I knew virtually nothing about Piaf's life. Now I'd love to read her biography to fill in the many blanks regarding the aspects of her life that the movie didn't provide.
