My thinking was more along the lines of having a human pilot in the cockpit or a human driver behind the wheel, even if the automated system can actually do the job safer and more accurately. It is an interesting aspect of their future society that the show's writers could explore to good effect.

We somehow got a $50,000 horror movie into theaters, so please, ask us ANYTHING you want. ALMOST HUMAN is a science fiction slasher movie in the vein of 80's splatter movies, with some TERMINATOR and FIRE IN THE SKY thrown in.
After watching the first episode, I think Almost Human makes for a really promising show. I already like it way more than Agents of SHIELD. I'll take Karl Urban (fantastic, as always) and robot Michael Ealy (who I think is doing a decent job) over Coulson and a bunch of young super-nerdy yet somehow extremely good-looking junior agents any day.
