Oct 23, 2024 · It isn't included in Vault or 50. The only arcade original retail version I have is on Atari Anniversary Edition for the original Playstation. That was released in 2001. There is a PC compiilation on sale on Humble Bundle that includes arcade Battlezone. It's called Atari 80 Classic Games in One., and was originally released in 2003.
So what do you have as far as 2600 games in Atari Vault that are worth playing: Asteroids - Most 2600 ports aren't going to be something worth playing if you have the arcade version available, but Asteroids isn't one of them. It has a different graphical style, which despite blocky is a little little less abstract than the arcade vectors.

There’s literally no reason to buy it if you want something modern, but if you ever want a hit of the old school this is the only way to go. Mar 31, 2016 · The Arcade Archives collection is fun and definitely worth looking into, but it does not compare to the overall value gotten from purchasing Atari Vault. This, my friends, is the holy grail of retro arcade gaming. For just $20, you get 100 Atari Arcade and Atari 2600 games from the 70’s and 80’s all in one easy to use Steam package.
Apr 16, 2018 · Atari Vault supports Xbox 360/Xbox One-style controllers, keyboard controls, and, in spinner and trackball games, a mouse. There’s also support for the Steam Controller , which can emulate both the Xbox-style controls and mouse controls, but since I don’t have one, I can’t test that particular functionality.

I’ve had Atari 50 for a few days and it is apples to oranges with the Atari Vault. Every game is remastered and even include a bunch of reimagined “new” games. Really impressed, especially compared to the vault. 100% worth it
