Sep 20, 2007 · Balsam Mountain Campground was some of the best camping we've ever done. Our site, #28, was small but very private and secluded, helped by positioning our tent across the entrance. The campsite was beautiful, awaking every morning surrounded by butterflies and hummingbirds.

Jul 29, 2011 · Wife, three year old and I stayed at the Balsam Mountain Campground in the GSMNP at the end of June, 2011. First off, the staff, volunteers, and equipment could not be better. Bathroom is cleaned everyday, water quality is checked frequently. Temperatures were ideal, and we did not have any measurable rain in our two nights.
