In Conclusion. Dr. No serves as a perfect introduction to James Bond and his world, but it also stands up well by itself. Even if no other Bond movies had been made, Dr. No would surely be regarded as a genre gem. It has action, suspense, sex, and comedy relief, all set against an exotic background.
It’s always been a personal favourite. I feel like it’s often underrated. Connery hits the ground running, his performance as bond is fantastic. It has the best “Bond James Bond” intro, Ursula Andress is stunning, Dr.No is a memorable villain, and underneath the mango tree is iconic. 3. Award.
