LCS has a protag with a personality and a map, better story and interesting characters. I wouldn't go so far as to call it the IV of the 3D era--SA gets that honor, I think, though I like LCS better than that one too--but it's pretty dang close.
The gameplay is actually good considering it was the first 3D handheld game and I certainly found it better than GTA 3. The story, although giving a background of the establishment of various gangs in Liberty City, felt somewhat lacking in objective. I'm so disappointed, I found out these were on PS2 like 10yrs after.
Pros: nice story, nice atmosphere of Liberty City, better than GTA 3s Liberty City & nice unique cars & safehouses. Cons: some characters: Toni for me he was bland, he was basically Tommy 2.0 & Maria was annoying AF & Massimo Torino is a very forgettable villain.
