Monster Hunter (モンスターハンター, Monsutā Hantā) is a Japanese media franchise centered on a series of fantasy-themed action role-playing video games that started with the game Monster Hunter for the PlayStation 2, released in 2004. Titles have been released across a variety of platforms, including personal computers, home consoles, portable consoles, and mobile devices.
The first Monster Hunter title released outside of Japan. Although largely unpopular, it has generated a loyal cult following. A PSP port of the original Monster Hunter with a few updates. This game was more successful than the original Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter Generations – 2015
Monster Hunter Generations (Monster Hunter X in Japan) debuted in 2015 for Nintendo 3DS. However, it reached international markets in 2016. The spin-off title features similar gameplay as the games before. For novelties, it has special attacks and new combat styles. Moreover, it allows players to control Felines, a magical cat that often accompanies the protagonist.
