At this point, it is safe to assume that most GG players have agreed that Sol is the best character in the game. An offensive powerhouse with literally no weaknesses, can pretty much destroy any characters health bars with only 1-2 touches.
I think Sol is pretty inarguably the best on defense. His 3 frame 5K combined with DPs at two different timings would probably put him on top on their own, but he’s got a variety of other options that are consistent with the rest of the cast so it’s not like he’s got any glaring holes.

Sol's normals are extremely unique among the rest of the cast of characters in that they all actually have a purpose for being used unlike the other chars (Ex: Sol's light frame traps and combo into each other). The best other characters can do is Ky can combo into a knockdown but it looks uninteresting and has next to no reward.
