Aug 16, 2024 · StellaDS is an Atari 2600 console emulator for the NDS. The original author of StellaDS is TheChuckster which the latest version of completed work was version 0.71. The later versions are updated by Alekmaul. The homebrew was showcased in the GBAtemp Homebrew Bounty 2011 (DSi).
Apr 12, 2008 · Posted April 12, 2008. It runs at probably 80% speed, playable, but noticeably slower than the real thing. It was easy to set up. Just copy the program file and roms into a directory on your flash card. Then run it on the DS. I have a R4 card, which is cheap and full featured so it's easy to recommend that one.

I've never been into programming an emulator but decided my coding skills were probably up to snuff for modifying/improving an existing emulator. Fortunately, Stella-DS code base is rather clean and easy to understand - at least most of it!
