May 12, 2015 · The answer is no, it's a 3rd person game. Looks like a no ... Ah well, *money stays in wallet*. The Witcher has always been a 3rd person game so 3 is likely going to be the same. This game is not Skyrim. Don't forget it or you gonna be disappointed. I doubt it. The combat does not lend itself to a first person view.

3rd person works better for RPGs for several reasons. A few of the most important for me: I would be interested to try out the first person mod for W3 but only for one thing: to try out the mutation that makes the crossbow do massive damage; then I'd play W3 like it was Hexen and see how practical that might be.
