Really depends on what you find fun about Tarkov. No crazy player interactions like PVP Tarkov but you can just chill and not worry about running into someone who has been playing for months and is L4 on all trader while you just started. I had EOD and bought the upgrade day 1, and then bought the entire edition for a friend so we could play together. Honestly I've had the most fun playing with friends in PVE mode. I believe it's worth it. For the price, I've already put in 700 hours and I already feel like it's a fair trade for my moneys worth.

Jan 27, 2024 · AFAIK if you buy the cheap one you can pay to upgrade to the more expensive ones later. You're not going to get a 'head start' a month in to wipe. You're going to be at a disadvantage to other players who have better guns and armour (and who have more experience in the game). Cheating still seems to be a big thing in Tarkov.
