If your library doesn't have library edition - all access is definitely worth it when it is on sale. Take the two week trial at a time when you have lots of time to spare. Use it lots and by the end of two weeks, you will have an idea of whether it is useful or not. Doing the Ancestry DNA test as well is very useful.

The traits feature wasn't useful to me - they were mostly inaccurate and were all related to sports. That's pretty much all you get for the initial cost. For those interested in genealogy, I'll just mention that LDS actually has a great free website with a large amount of free, searchable primary documents. The website is familysearch.org, and while their collection isn't quite as extensive as ancestry, there have been times in my very amateur genealogical efforts where I've made progress with familysearch.org when I was stuck with ancestry.
