   Jun 29, 2022 · Player count may have been reduced but it's very far from being "dead". It's very much alive, matchmaking is still instant and Konami is actually releasing amazing content/updates lately. All this considered, nothing beats being able to craft cards like in Master Duel, that's for sure.

   Why do so many people like'master duel' & 'Duel Links'?

   • But there are still tons of people who Master Duel is not the product targeted at them, Duel Links. They want quick casual duels. They want to play as their favorite characters. They want whacky zany events like Action Duels. Lots of people enjoy Duel Links for those things but they also don't feel they need to be vocal about it.

   Is there a difference between master duel & Duel Links?

   • Not happening. The producer said Master Duel is about the cards while Duel Links is the character game. And these points are hugh parts for me (well anime elements does not mean much for me). Master duel can't replace this, really. If there's very tiny chance Duel Link is dead then I'm not gonna jump to Master Duel for sure lol.

   Will Duel Links ever slow down?

   • Konami has historically shut down their online Yu-Gi-Oh! games before (Online, Duel Generation, etc.), likely for eventual poor monetary performance - so it's a definite concern if Duel Links ever "slowed down." Duel Links has shown strong performance for Konami ever since its launch.

   Why do people like Duel Links so much?

   • Lots of people enjoy Duel Links for those things but they also don't feel they need to be vocal about it. They can play by themselves and be content. Master Duel players are more likely to talk about the meta and what decks are hot right now. Basically more people talk about Master Duel but more people play Duel Links (probably).
