  2. I was surprised by how dark License to Kill is compared to the previous/future films. Leiter's wife get murdered and he gets his leg bitten off and then Sharky (the other groomsman) is also murdered. Add to that Lamora's initial lover getting his heart ripped out (off-screen at least), Krest's head exploding and Del Toro getting shredded and you have by far the darkest and most violent Bond film.
