Scum if you want to really get immersed into a game. Rust is fast paced, almost arcade style pvp. Dayz is slower, more realistic, and harder. theirs a rust x day z server called project larauz dayz. DayZ is a better survival experience, but if youre on SA dont bother, all servers are either modded pvp hell or dead.

Completley different games despite them being in a similar genre, DayZ is an actual hardcore survival game where you will be heavily tested by both the environment and other players, it suits "one life" gameplay where there isnt constant progression so when you die you start all over again for 99% of players and has a much more realistic gameplay feel.
