Dec 8, 2011 · We have 3 pre-EGR Cummins. 1 (mine) n14-370/430, 1 (m11), and a redtop 525hp N14. The cummins have been rock solid! Cheap to work on, anyone can work on them, cheap parts. Our EGR Detroits have also been rock solid, except for EGRs, vpods and expensive turbos. We replace these at our maintenance yard avoiding expensive roadside repairs.

Aug 1, 2012 · Yes, the N-14 is supposed to be the best engine Cummins ever made. I know some of them had ECM problems, but other than that they are good engines. Many of them had ijector problems but most of it was due to drivers using the wrong fuel filter. Find out what filter is the proper one and done screw any thing on that fits.

The major change here was that the ECM could now broadcast on the popular J1939 CAN bus system. N14 Celect Plus. Jan 14, 2023 · The N14 Cummins engine is exceptionally more powerful and comes with more changings than Big Cam 400 Cummins. Both have significance regarding fuel efficiency, cooling, pricing, and other related features. But if you are going to get either of these, I would say N14 is a better engine. The N14 is not that tested and used highly by individuals.
