Plain is one of the best biomes to build. They are common, and flat, no forest so mobs won't spawn (Or stay there without burning) even it is daytime. Zombies, spiders, skeletons are not a problem, the creepers are. They can blow your house or farm, unless they are made of obsidian or netherite, etc.
