Aug 18, 2024 · Always got rid of them due to weight, and the added width when folded. Literally doubling the width and adding 8-10 oz to the gun so the buffer tube can fold. Ultimately makes it less convenient to carry. Cheaper, and lighter to just seperate the lower, just not as quick to deploy.
