He played both Clark Kent & Superman perfectly, to the point that you definitely understood why people were convinced they were two completely different people. Even though I'm a big fan of subsequent live-action incarnations of the character/mythology ( Smallville TV series; Superman: Man of Steel film; Superman and Lois ; etc.) - the original films are still the most iconic.

The late star is so synonymous with the role, that one cannot think of Superman without also thinking of Reeve. The actor’s square-jawed, chest-out Superman is a sharp (and deceptive) contrast to his slouching, nervous alter ego, Clark Kent.
