  1. Apr 8, 2024 · As it is the man's God-given role to initiate, so it is the woman's God-given role to respond. So how do we actually pursue these roles? If you aspire to be a godly husband or wife someday, what have you done and what are you doing to prepare for that ministry?

  2. Nov 25, 2017 · In summary, yes, sometimes a Christian girl should pursue a Christian guy. I don’t think this will be the norm or should be the norm, but I don’t think there should be any shame if a relationship started because a Christian girl asked a guy out and made the first move by pursuing him.

    • Pray for Him. Just because this first point seems so obvious and generic, it should not be so quickly overlooked. Praying for the man that you like not only provides God the opportunity to speak to you about this man, but it also puts you in the right frame of mind for whatever happens next.
    • Respond to Him. Most Christian women have been taught that it is the man’s job to pursue the woman. I think this is right. While the Bible never says this directly, it’s a good application of other biblical principles to say that the man should pursue the woman.
    • Invite Him. This is the most proactive step I would recommend a woman to take when she likes a man. Prayer is the right place to start. But it is a very low risk action to take.

Typically several closed doors tends to mean that we've entered at the wrong time and that God does not want us to pursue a d...

Have you noticed someone at church or in the workplace—who loves Jesus—but have held off on asking them out because you fear that they'll reject you? I see this so often in guys. Believe it or not, girls tend to be more bold when it comes to speaking with men. But so many guys will hold off on talking with a woman because they don't want to receive...

Have you turned yourself off to friends and family setting you up? Do you have to meet your future spouse at church, or can it happen at a random venue? Have you considered that maybe you need to be the one to make the first move, or God needs to (whatever category that fits you best above)? We've grown too accustomed to the culture that doesn't wa...

  3. Sep 27, 2010 · How should we, as young men, properly pursue a godly woman romantically, but in a godly manner? Honestly, I’m lost when it comes to this. 4. Jul 8, 2014 · I have always taken the story of Ruth and Boaz to be an example of a woman initiating and pursuing a relationship with a godly man, and I have found it to be very freeing as a woman seeking a husband in the Christian dating world. Don’t Ruth and Boaz blow your theory out of the water, and if not, how should I be thinking about this?
