  1. I would rewatch after reading the books. Or listening to the audiobooks. On my recent rewatch I found it interesting how they brought in key bits of information in different ways (like Luna telling Harry about thestrals instead of Hagrid teaching a class).

  2. Hardest to rewatch is GoF. The whole Yule Ball stuff derails the entire movie causing the 2nd and 3rd trials to be rushed. The graveyard scene kind of saves it from being a complete wreck but it's head and shoulders the worst of the series (IMO). Agree with you 100% about Columbus/CoS.

The world of Harry Potteris wildly intricate and full of details that can't be fully grasped during the first watch. When viewers watch the movies multiple times, they're able to understand the story better as it develops. It's especially helpful if fans have read J.K Rowling's books as well. On the initial watch of the movies, fans may think the characters are one-note, either a hero or an enemy. However, when fans watch the movies again, they can develop deeper feelings about a character and their intentions. For example, many fans feel that Dumbledore is a stand-up wizard who only wants the best for his students. After they watch the...

Many fans are familiar with the music of Harry Potter and the emotions associated with it. Music is a very important tool in storytelling, and the Harry Potter franchise takes advantage of this. John Williams' Buckbeak's Flight plays as Harry soars through the sky, riding Buckbeak. The iconic Hegwig's Themeis the theme music, an epic score. RELATED...

For fans who haven't read the Harry Potterbooks, the concept of Horcruxes and how they work can be very confusing the first time they're introduced. Voldemort splits his soul into seven different objects, making it nearly impossible to kill him. Fans can find it difficult to understand how Voldemort does this. The Horcruxes, how they work, where th...

Harry and Voldemort share a bond that keeps them bound together in a magical way throughout the series, including brother wands that come from the same phoenix. In Harry's fifth year, he's even able to see into Voldemort's thoughts and feel his feelings. While they share this huge and important connection, it isn't explained very well in the movies...

There are so many characters in the Wizarding World that it can be hard to keep them all straight. Between students and teachers at Hogwarts, members of the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters, and workers at the Ministry of Magic, the number of characters in the story can be overwhelming. There are dozens of spells cast within the eight Harry Pottermovies, all with unique and sometimes confusing names. On the initial watch of the movies, the spells start to sound the same, and it can be hard to differentiate between which the disarming spell is and which is the spell that lights a wizard's wand. Expelliarmus, Wingardium Leviosa, Acc...

The Harry Potter movies have some of the best landscapes, special effects, and overall visuals of any movie franchise, especially considering that Philosopher's Stone was released in 2001. Fans are treated to gorgeous scenery as they get pulled into the story, feeling like they are right there with the characters. The more fans watch the movies, th...

  3. Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince (and both Deathly Hallows unfortunately only have a few scenes that look good) are the only ones that are shot well. I can't recommend these movies enough to people. 9 out of 10 movie series. 2.
