The Legion of Super-Heroes is a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.Created by writer Otto Binder and artist Al Plastino, the Legion is a group of superpowered beings living in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Comics Universe, and first appeared in Adventure Comics #247 (April 1958).
Its membership reflects the original, pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths Legion up to the events of Legion of Super-Heroes vol. 3, #63, and includes changes in Legion membership made in the Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes story arc, the Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds mini-series, and subsequent volumes of Legion of Super-Heroes. "Batman and the Legion of Super-Heroes", presented in Action Comics #864 (June 2008), serves as an epilogue to this story-arc (and as a prologue to the Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds limited series). In this issue, Batman meets Superman and Lightning Lad at the Fortress of Solitude, shortly after the Man of Steel’s return from the 31st century.
