- Ethnography. In ethnographic research, the researcher immerses themselves within the group they are studying, often for long periods of time. This type of research aims to understand the shared beliefs, practices, and values of a particular community by immersing the researcher within the cultural group.
- Phenomenology. Phenomenology to understand and describe individuals’ lived experiences concerning a specific phenomenon. As a research methodology typically used in the social sciences, phenomenology involves the study of social reality as a product of intersubjectivity (the intersection of people’s cognitive perspectives) (Zahavi & Overgaard, n.d.).
