May 5, 2014 · The name Bartimaeus occurs only one time in the New Testament. Mark tells us that blind Bartimaeus is a son of Timaeus, and that he is sitting by the side of the road close to Jericho . Bartimaeus cries out to Jesus and Jesus pronounces him healed by his faith.
Bartimaeus [E] (son of Timeus ), a blind beggar of Jericho who, ( Mark 10:46 ) ff., sat by the wayside begging as our Lord passed out of Jericho on his last journey to Jerusalem.
