I have been drinking Dr Pepper every single day for the last 10 years. I do not drink water at all or usually any other beverage. The last week and a half the 12 packs my GF got at target tasted awful. They were almost like sprite but slightly less fizzy. Didn’t taste anything like Dr Pepper, and this was 3 different 12 packs.
Sep 25, 2023 · Pibb is so much better, I love that it has more of a cherry taste but it's not the dominant flavor like in Cherry Dr. Pepper. So sad you can't get it in cans and bottles in California ;( recently went to Florida to help a friend move, I was shocked to see 12 packs of it.

I ask because in Europe, the flavor of cough syrup is similar to the flavor of root beer in America. This leads to many people from those countries thinking that root beer tastes like medicine. Dr. Pepper isn't root beer, but it does share many similarities to it, which might also lead people to think it has a medicine-like taste.

Definitely not the Dr Pepper taste it’s known as. All of the cans taste of carbonation and no Dr Pepper flavor. At this point I am wasting money. Going to contact Dr Pepper and complain. If they get enough complaints they may investigate. Been enjoying a daily Dr Pepper for 40 years and as of 4-6 weeks ago each one is as bad as the last.
Basically that, I tried it several times because a lot people push for it and I felt it was one of those "acquired taste" things. It's not, tastes too artificial like strawberry flavoured medicine. No thanks, I'd rather take Mate, Spezi, some cola flavour, anything. Today there are so many so good, but dr pepper is just evil.
I love Dr. Pepper. I love coconut. This was just too much sugar with a very weird, obviously artificial coconut after taste. I wanted to like it so much, and I have friends that swear by it. Having said all of that, it actually kind of does taste like sunscreen to me when you mention it.

Real, actual black licorice from norway or denmark tastes like solid Dr. Pepper, and is absolutely delicious. Dr. Pepper is PEPSI'S version of Birch Beer, so if you guys ever get a chance to find some brewed birch beer, try it out and see what the actual thing tastes like, it's amaaaaaaazing. EDIT: SORRY, IT'S PEPSI. IT'S PEPSI ARE YOU HAPPY NOW.
