Dr. Stuart Strachen later known as Mr. Jolly is the secondary antagonist in Season 1 of the psychological horror, sitcom show Psychoville.

He was a doctor who after the apparent death of his mother plotted revenge on all of those he deemed responsible for the event, most notably that of a clown patient named Mr. Jelly of whom he'd steal the act and work of after amputating his hand out of spite.

Stuart Strachen was born as the son of Edwina Kenchington and grew up with great medical knowledge, allowing his mother to pull some strings and allow him to be a psychiatric consultant at Ravenhill Hospital, a position he held before finding his own feet as a general practitioner.

One day he had a patient by the name of Sean AKA Mr. Jelly come in, a clown who was suffering from a repetitive strain injury and Strachen confirmed to him that the only way to cure him was to perform surgery on one of the tendons in his wrist. Unfortunately for Strachen however while he was performing the surgery all of his mother's patients murdered her out of revenge for her abuse on them. An enraged and heartbroken Strachen primarily blamed Sean for her death and forcibly amputated his hand. Over the next few months he would help Sean through physical therapy and throughout each session he would ask him about being a clown and the process of becoming one. Sean happily obliged him however he didn't realise that Strachen was actually sabotaging him in revenge until one day when he went to perform at a party he found Strachen performing under an almost identical name to his "Mr. Jolly", leaving him confused and hurt by the betrayal.
