Goth often uses repetitive snare drum snap to propel the beat, either a real drum beat or, later on, usually a drum machine beat. The music performed in those festivals is gothic music but not necessarily goth because Gothic isn't synonymous of goth. I see in the lineup of WGT for example that medieval music, gothic metal and neofolk are listed in gothic music, but medieval music, gothic metal and neofolk aren't definitely goth. They are music that belong in other cultures.
