- In addition to conducting institution hearings to determine the suitability of incarcerated adults for release, board members review applications for clemency, participate in clemency hearings in order to make recommendations to the governor, conduct reviews of those incarcerated adults designated as sexually violent predators to determine whether a hearing should be held to terminate control, and meet with victims and their families and incarcerated adults’ families and supporters.
