Declaring and proclaiming the glory of God
- Psalm 19:1 describes the heavens as declaring and proclaiming the glory of God. The Psalmist goes on to say in verses 2-6 that the heavens “reveal knowledge.” God’s glory can be heard throughout the “ends of the earth” and booms with “joy.” The heavens are meant to reveal God’s glory to us plainly.

Jul 26, 2024 · One of the most descriptive places in Scripture that helps us know what heaven will look like is found in the book of Revelation. I would encourage you to read chapters 21-22. Here are some excerpts to help give you some perspective on what the Bible says about heaven:
- Isaiah 25:8-12. 8 he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth.
- Matthew 5:17-20. 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
- Matthew 7:13-15. 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
- Matthew 19:17-19. 17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
- "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
- “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 1:19-20, NLT).
- “And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven” (Luke 24:50-51).
