This causes the game to have three different endings: she stabs Marcel, she confirms she is ill and goes into therapy, or she objects and leaves, finally fed up with people telling her what to do without asking her what she wants.

What happened to Edna's mother is anyone's guess. Self-Serving Memory : Not Edna herself, but when tempomorphing into her memories, Harvey can get a wrong impression of events Edna did not directly observe, for example he saw Mattis killing children and serving the Devil .
