- You must tap your card every time you enter a station and when you board a vehicle on the street, even if you have a monthly pass on your card. Your tapped PRESTO card is your Proof-of-Payment.

If you forgot to tap off and the fare deducted from your physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Mobile Wallet, or charged to your credit or debit card, is incorrect, you can request a refund by either calling the GO contact centre at 1-888-438-6646 or by filling out our webform.

Your default trip will still be set to your card the next time you take the GO Train.For your initial trip, travel as you normally would.Before making your return trip, press the Mode button until you see the override option, and tap on. At your destination, tap off.May 2, 2023 · When you tap on with credit or debit between GO Transit and your local transit service, PRESTO automatically calculates your free transfer and applies it to your credit or debit card. Please remember to tap with the same card, phone or watch when you transfer.
If you have an unpaid fare associated with your debit card, the PRESTO system will automatically try to collect that fare from your method of payment for up to seven days, or the next time you tap that card on a PRESTO fare payment device, the unpaid fare will be deducted from your bank account.
If you tap your credit card, debit card, or cards added to a mobile wallet on a phone or watch, and the PRESTO device says that the payment was not accepted, please check with your bank or use another payment method to pay your fare.

Tap off on GO Transit with the same Visa card or payment-enabled mobile or wearable device on a PRESTO device when you arrive at your destination. GO Train customers, if you travel between the same two GO Train stations consistently, you can set a default trip on your Visa card.
