Jul 17, 2019 · Look at your command: /setblock ~-147 ~74 ~-150 minecraft:air destroy. Notice that you have a ~ before every coordinate, meaning that you will replace a block relative to your position, and being 74 blocks above you, it might be outside the world.

Jan 14, 2024 · When cloning a block, the location that you are cloning from and location you are cloning to need to be within your simulation distance and it needs to be loaded. If they are not, then you will get that error message. This can be fixed by increasing the simulation distance or moving towards the location you are cloning.
The world boundary is now variable depending on the chosen world type. It may be even further customisable through world editing. Blocks outside of the world can be targeted and even "broken", but immediately reverts to a prior state afterward.
I am using a script that I wrote in AutoIt to place the barriers simply because it is easier than doing it by hand. If you are curious about the script, here it is. While using this script, it will work for about 1,000 blocks, then start returning "Cannot place blocks outside of the world".
