Literally no company can run a YouTube like project profitably, not even Google. AFAIK YouTube is a loss leader for Google, and is only worth it because of the data it generates. Unless you own the biggest online advertising firm like Google does, most of that data is useless.
In November 13 2006, YouTube was sold to Google about $1 billion+ in stock. But what if Jawed Karim or Chad Hurley decided that they keep YouTube? How would it affect the platform?
So if for some reason Google decided to not buy YouTube in the mid 2000s I could see some sort big company like Universal or Disney taking them to court for copyright. This would ultimately bankrupt YouTube and YouTube would never be a thing today.

4. Under "Download or delete your data," click Delete a service.
5. Click Delete a service.
