    When you delete a message, it stays in your trash for 30 days. After 30 days, the message is permanently deleted from your account and can't be recovered.

    1. On your computer, go to Gmail.

    2. On the left of each message you want to delete, check the box.

    3. At the top, click Delete .

    Tip: To delete a message in a thread:

    1. Open the message.

    2. Next to Reply , click More Delete this message.

    2. On the left, select your inbox, label, or another category.

    3. At the top left, above your messages, check the Select box. 

    • A notification that shows the number of selected conversations is displayed. To select all messages, click the link in the notification.

    1. On your computer, go to Gmail.

    2. On the left, click More Trash.

    3. On the left of each message you want to permanently delete, check the box.

    4. At the top, click Delete forever.

    Important: You can’t recover messages that are permanently deleted or messages that have been in the trash for more than 30 days.

    If you deleted your messages in the last 30 days, you can move them out of your trash.

    1. On your computer, go to Gmail.

    2. On the left, click More Trash.

    3. On the left of each message you want to recover, check the box.

    4. At the top, click Move to .

  2. Feb 13, 2024 · Open the Gmail app. At the top left, tap on the Menu button, then tap on the Trash folder to access deleted emails in Gmail. Click on the photo or letter to recover deleted emails from Gmail. Tap on the More icon (the three dots at the top right of the screen). Choose Move To to restore emails to a new folder.

My mistake I went onto the tab. - All Mail. and I was deleting the messages from here individually. I went into each of my folders and all of the emails have been deleted. I need to recover these emails.

  4. Dec 18, 2020 · In the menu that appears, tap "Trash." In the trash folder, tap the circular icon to the left of the email and then tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen. A menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Delete Forever." The selected emails will now be permanently deleted.

  5. Jun 1, 2021 · Locate the users whose email you want to recover, select Restore Data, and choose Gmail in the “Application” section. The Admin console has a filter to find deleted data by date range. Select the date range and click Restore to find and recover missing emails.
