@LottieGrayYT That's not the Sims 4 folder where you need to add mods. As the original instructions say, the correct folder is in Documents\Electronic Arts. Be sure to start your game at least once, so that this Sims 4 folder will be created. And please remove the Mods folder you created from the Sims 4 folder in Program files (x86).

- my game wont create a new mods folder or a new ea folder
I have been playing sims 4 for some time now and i wish to add mods to it, however i find that every mod instructs people to put there files in the mod folder. However i cannot find such folder as it seems that i my game has installed in the origin's game folder and not in the Electronic arts folder...
@Starmoonwolf2018 Move the entire Sims 4 folder to the desktop, open the game to create a new folder, enable mods and cc, and quit. If the new Sims 4 folder has a Mods folder inside, great: move your mods and cc, saves, Tray items, and anything else you want to keep to the new folder. If you don't see a new Sims 4 folder, please post the full ...
If a mods folder is manually created in the Sims 4 Install folder, it will not work. It needs to be in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. to work correctly.-----Take the downloaded .package file and copy it to: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. Close the game if open, and reopen it for changes to take effect.

The Sims 4 has many unofficial mods and Custom Content that you can install to expand upon or improve gameplay, such as texture mods, new hairstyles and eye colors, custom houses, and more. This page teaches you everything you need to know about How to Install Mods in TS4 and where to find CC on PC and Mac.
There are thousands of websites that offer Custom Content for TS4. Some focus solely on certain things like appearance mods or furniture, while some have everything. So it can be confusing and sometimes overwhelming to know where to look.
These are our favorite websites for CC that offer everything:
•The Sims Resource
•Mod The Sims
•SimsDom
•Maxis Match CC World
Before you start installing mods and CC, you need to locate your Mods folder. This is where you need to place your downloaded content for your game to be able to read and install it—if you put it anywhere else, it won't work. Content that ends in the .package file extension goes here.
•Windows – /Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
•Mac – /Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
If for some reason you don't see a Mods folder in your directory, you can create the folder yourself.
Once you've placed all your mods in the correct folder, it's time to boot your game. Start The Sims 4 and go to Options > Game Options > Other. You'll see a checkbox that says "Enable Custom Content and Mods"—tick it! Now restart your game.
Make sure you go back to this menu and check if the box is still ticked after every game update as it can sometimes turn itself off after a patch, disabling your mods and CC.
A menu should pop up every time you start The Sims 4, confirming the mods you want to use with your game. You can also turn Custom Content off from this menu if you decide you don't want to play with certain ones in this session.
To find Custom Content easily when in-game, check off the "Show Custom Content" box in the catalog, Gallery, or Lots menus. This will filter all your downloaded content so you don't have to scroll endlessly to try and locate it.
Create a folder in your other drive called “Mods” (capital M!). Copy the address by clicking in the circled part shown in the picture below: 2. Go to your C:\Users\...\ Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder. 3. Right click in empty space in the folder, click “New”, and select “Create Shortcut”. 4.

Nov 7, 2023 · C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. Once you’ve enabled mods in your game, a folder titled “Mods” should appear in your Sims 4 folder. If it doesn’t, you can manually add a new folder and name it Mods. The folder must be named exactly as written or your game will not recognize it as the mod folder.
