  1. The simple composite mod doesn't put out a proper video signal. It works okay on some Atari 2600s and TVs but not as well on others. If you want really good video then you need to get a proper video board like the Ultimate Atari Video board (although I haven't personally used that board). It’s the basic composite mod.
