Jan 25, 2024 · ESA’s next mission to Venus was officially ‘adopted’ today by the Agency’s Science Programme Committee. Envision will study Venus from its inner core to its outer atmosphere, giving important new insight into the planet's history, geological activity and climate.
The objective of EnVision is to observe the planet from its inner core up to its upper atmosphere, studying the planet's history, activity and climate. This will be achieved by its five instruments, provided by European and US research institutes and space agencies.
