Fincham's parish church is dedicated to Saint Martin, with the exterior of the church dating from the Fifteenth Century and the interior being the remains of an extensive Nineteenth Century restoration. St. Martin's font is famous throughout Norfolk due to the fact it stands on four separate legs and depicts scenes from The Gospel of Christ. [7]

Fincham. Norfolk. PE33 9EJ. View map. There has been little change to St Martin’s church since it was rebuilt in the mid 15th century. It is thought to have been built on the site on an earlier church using the original walls. This magnificent church is found in the middle of Fincham on the main road between Swaffham and Downham Market.
The parish is situated near the southern end of an area known as Norfolk’s western escarpment at an elevation of 20m above sea level. There have been numerous archaeological finds within the parish and our knowledge of the deep history of Fincham will continue to grow as a full battery of new archaeological tools are brought to bear on its ancient ground.
