Richfield is a village in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,729 at the 2020 census. It is located midway between Akron and Cleveland and is part of the Akron metropolitan area.
Early Richfield History. All of the territory in this part of Summit County had once been occupied by Native American tribes including the Miami, the Pottawatomie, the Delaware, the Shawnese, the Ottawa, the Seneca and a Mingo settlement on the Cuyahoga River in Boston Township.
