The Rockefeller State Park Preserve, opened in 1983, and was made possible through the farsighted and generous gifts of the Rockefeller Family and the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Fund. Originally designed by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., the Preserve initially encompassed 743 acres.
