At the screen to choose language, when I hit "ok" for English, I just get the normal Roku sound you get when you press an invalid key. Re: I am stuck at select language. How are you powering it? If you're using the TV's USB port try using a USB power adapter plugged into the wall. If it didn't come with one, try one from a phone or tablet that can supply at least 1 Amp (i.e., look at the fine print for something like, Output: 5V 1A).
