Nov 9, 2022 · Similar to this section in the previous review, the most important factor seems to be the type of foam used. PEBAX specifically seems to have the best energy return of the foams on the market. This needs to be combined with a curved plate or stiffening agent embedded in the midsole with a large stack height of PEBAX foam and a lighter weight.
Apr 13, 2024 · To date, all of PUMA’s commercially available spikes only have a pebax (plastic) midsole plate. This is a pretty exciting result, but we shouldn’t be too eager to compare these results directly to the Nike Dragonfly, since this experiment took place on a different track and involved different runners, so it’s not a 1:1 comparison.
